The Wee Folk

Yesterday I had fairies on the brain (don't ask :P), so I did some searches online for the same. I came upon an enchanting site called The Faery Crossing which has all you wanted to know about Faeries. =)

I also took a quiz, Which type of Faery Folk are you?

You are a Sylph!
The sylphs are the air spirits. Their element has
the highest vibratory rate of the four (beside
earth, fire, water). They live hundreds of
years, often reaching one thousand and never
seeming to get old. They are said to live on
the tops of mountains. The leader of the sylphs
is a being called Paralda who is said to dwell
on the highest mountain of Earth.

Sylphs often assume human form but only for short
periods of time. The vary in size and can be as
large as a human. They are volatile and
changeable. The winds are their particular
vehicle. The work through the gases and ethers
of the Earth and are kindly toward humans.
Slyphs are usually seen with wings, looking
like cherubs or fairies. Because of their
connection to air, which is associated with the
mental aspect, one of their functions is to
help humans receive inspiration. The sylphs are
drawn to those who use their minds,
particularly those in creative arts.

I stumbled upon information on the Fairy Penguin, the smallest species of penguin found only in Australia and New Zealand

A few more clicks and there was a site with Goth Fairy Paper Dolls.

Following one of the banners led me to, and back on the search engine I saw a collection of Russian fairy tales.

If you're familiar with "The Pressed Fairy Book," you'll want to check out R.S.P.C.F. or The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Fairies (hee!) ... yes, someone made a site! =)

Finally, have a look at some information on Fairy Art and Fairy Postcards to send to all your online friends.
