Okay, I've done as you suggested, M. I've taken out the more recent post (with the photo-letters) that was made after the problem started. ;P Somehow, it's not helping, but I don't wish to delete the rest of the posts either so .. guess I'll try something else.

Oh, I also tried resizing the elephant and camel pics from the festival post, but that didn't seem to affect anything. So, I've returned the elephant and camel to their original sizes. ;)

This happened once before (or something similar to it anyway), and I removed a banner from the page; everything seemed fine after that. So I guess I'll take a look at various jpegs to see if any are the offending pic. It's funny how something will work for months just fine, then one day, bam!, it's all messed up.

I'm not sure if it's just my browser or if everyone is viewing my blog in the bizarre fashion that I am, but posts are being pushed far below the date. I'm not sure how to fix this. Suggestions?
Because I Like My Play List on Random

I've done a similar meme, posting favorite lines from random songs and having people guess. Feel free to guess (or not) at this one, too, or take a look at the one on my live journal and venture a guess over there. :) I skipped any songs that came up in my playlist more than once and any songs' lyrics that I'd listed on live journal already. :)

Rules
1. Put your playlist on shuffle.
2. Post the first lines to the first 25 songs to come up (along with these instructions).
3. Have people guess the songs and artists in comments to the post.
4. Post the answers to the ones people guessed correctly. A couple of days later, post the first two lines of the ones no one got and get people to guess again.
5. Repeat, adding the next line to the unguessed songs each time, until they're all guessed/you've posted the whole song/you've gotten bored/no-one's going to get the damn thing if you don't tell them.

Instrumental/Non-English/Extremely obscure/spoken/etc. skipped over. Also, songs with the title in the first line.

1. She lives in this house over there
2. Is there a time for keeping your distance
3. High, higher than the sun
4. Somewhere there's speaking; it's already coming in
5. I can see it; I can feel it rushing in my veins
6. Today is gonna to be the day that they're gonna throw it back to you
7. Innocent, and in a sense, I am
8. You burden me with your questions
9. I don't know; I don't know which side I'm on
10. I'm not afraid of anything in this world
11. I spend the night in a chair thinking she'll be there
12. Stand up; You've got to manage
13. Father wears his Sunday best
14. When I'm walking I strut my stuff yeah I'm so strung out
15. Baby love, sometimes it's hard for me to tell you what I'm thinking of
16. If blood will flow when flesh and steel are one
17. What's wrong with the world mama
18. Like the latest fashion, Like a spreading disease
19. Things are gonna change and not for better
20. The wind was a torrent of darkness among the ghastly trees
21. If I, I get to know your name
22. I can't believe the news today
23. See the people walking down the street
24. Don't move, Don't talk out of time
25. All I can say is that my life is pretty plain

Fathers and Photos from a Festival

Happy Father's Day to all the dads! I hope your day is relaxing and fun. :)

I wish I could've gone in town to visit with my dad today, but he didn't call back yesterday so I couldn't ask him (although I already know his answer - "I'm working"). Still, it would've been nice to go in for the day, have lunch and hang out. I haven't done that with my dad in several years, and I haven't seen him since Christmas .. or maybe it was two Christmases ago, before my grandmother (his mother) died. I'm surprised, too, that he hasn't called today yet since he wasn't able to reach me yesterday. If only I could get out at a regular, predictable time from work, we wouldn't have to play phone tag every weekend. *sigh*

Anyway, my other reason for this post (besides wishing a good day to fathers everywhere) is to share some of my pictures from the Irish Connections Festival on June 11.
I posted some of the photos on my Live Journal. You can see those by clicking here.

I'll post some more on my photo blog and on my fotolog as time permits.

Time Wasters

defined by me as an activity which takes up a lot of time & doesn't always accomplish something concrete (and that's a good thing sometimes *g*) .. in no particular order ..

Top 10 Time Wasters of the Modern World
1. Surfing the internet
2. Blogging
3. Those automated phone answering things where you press a number to get connected to the appropriate person or department and instead end up lost in the automated system traveling in circles, hitting "0" for "Operator" and being told it was an invalid selection
4. Traffic jams
5. Video games
6. Television
7. Sales calls
8. Waiting rooms at a doctor's office
9. The local bar/pub
10. Daydreaming

Notice I defined it as not always a bad thing. Sometimes you need to participate in a time wasting activity in order to relax and de-stress. Some time wasters actually do accomplish things (though the results aren't always concrete & visible to others). Other time wasters just eat up at precious moments and annoy me, er, people in general.
